Certification & Recurrent Training

Predictable certification and compliance education. Heartsaver CPR / AED / First Aid and BLS are the courses currently offered here. Some of these courses can be delivered by an appropriately credentialed American Heart Association instructor through the applicable Training Center relationship. Kheiron Group is not an American Heart Association Training Center, and this site does not display AHA marks.

Heartsaver CPR / AED / First Aid

CPR, AED, and First Aid for workplaces, public-safety organizations, community groups, and other appropriate audiences.

Heartsaver CPR, AED, and First Aid is for people who may need to act before additional help takes over. Audiences include workplaces, public-safety organizations, community groups, and other groups for whom the course is appropriate.

Some of these courses can be delivered by an appropriately credentialed American Heart Association instructor through the applicable Training Center relationship. Kheiron Group is not an American Heart Association Training Center, and this site does not display AHA marks. Before you schedule, ask which courses are currently available and how any card or credential would be issued.

Do not assume a specific course title, card, or audience is open on a given date until we confirm it. Organizations across Michigan and the Midwest use this kind of training for staff who are expected to respond before EMS arrives.

TECC and firearms skills training for public-safety agencies and other organizations that need instruction tied to operational work. Each course is arranged with the group making the request.

TECC Training

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care for responders in high-threat, complex, or operational environments. Practical application of evidence-informed casualty care.

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care is for responders who may have to treat casualties in high-threat, complex, or operational environments. The setting is the point. Care has to stay practical when the scene is unstable, information is incomplete, and the usual clinical resources are not at hand.

Kheiron Group teaches TECC as evidence-informed casualty care: priorities, decisions, and skills that can be practiced and then used under constraint. The audience is law enforcement, fire service, EMS, and other appropriate public-safety professionals.

First Aid for Firearms Instructors is medical preparedness for firearms instructors, ranges, and organizations that conduct firearms training. It is the most specific course in this catalog, and it is not a firearms class. The subject is what happens medically when something goes wrong in a training environment.

Topics may include emergency medical planning for training environments, immediate lifesaving priorities, hemorrhage control, medical equipment considerations, emergency response roles, communication and EMS activation, range emergency planning, and the integration of first-aid readiness into firearms instruction.

The course does not by itself grant a certification. Scope and format are confirmed with the requesting organization. Instructors and range operators in Michigan and the wider Midwest can request it for their own staff or for a hosted class.

Practical first aid where definitive care may be delayed, resources are limited, or evacuation is challenging.

Wilderness and austere first aid is practical care for places where definitive treatment may be delayed, equipment is limited, or evacuation is difficult. The course is for outdoor organizations, public-safety personnel, remote workers, community groups, and people responsible for remote activities.

Instruction stays with what a person can actually do: recognize priorities, use what is on hand, and make deliberate decisions while care and evacuation are still underway. It is not offered here as a named wilderness-medicine certification.

Organizations in Michigan and across the Great Lakes and Midwest work in these conditions more often than a street map suggests: shorelines, parks, job sites, and long responses. Tell us about the environment your people actually work in.
